Collage and personal work
Two collage posters made without a brief. One builds a figure, records, dice and a melting clock into a wall of repeated lettering. The other stacks a UFO, error windows, a cat and a lighter under a headline in quotation marks.

The problem
No client and no deadline: a place to work out how far type can be pushed as texture, and how many cut-outs a poster can hold before it stops reading.
The idea
The first collage uses the name as pattern. The same lettering repeats until it becomes the background, the figure is cut out in front, and the imagery is tucked into the gaps between letters. The second is maximal: a saturated blue field, halftone and outlines on every cut-out, and a starburst where each face would be.
